Regitra Exam Fees – Theory and Practical License Costs

When planning to take driving exams, one of the first questions is often not about the exams themselves, but about their cost. Although the procedure for theory and practical exams is known to many, not everyone knows how much exams for different categories cost, when you can use your own vehicle, and what additional expenses await after obtaining a driver's license.

The final amount depends on the chosen category, type of exam, and whether you will take the practical exam with a "Regitra" vehicle or your own. It is also worth considering the costs of issuing and delivering the driver's license, which may vary depending on the chosen term.

In this article, you will find the relevant 2026 "Regitra" theory and practical exam prices and driver's license issuance fees.

Prices for Driving Theory and Practical Exams at "Regitra"

Theory exam price for all categories – 10 Eur.

Practical exam prices with "Regitra" vehicle:

Practical exam prices with your own vehicle:

  • B1 (car with body) – 34.54 Eur

  • B1 (driven like a motorcycle) – 37.90 Eur

  • C – 34.54 Eur

  • CE – 34.54 Eur

  • BE, C1, C1E, D1, D1E, D, DE, T – 34.54 Eur

Driver's License Replacement – Price

The cost of issuing (replacing) a driver's license depends on how quickly you want to receive it and how you want to collect it:

  • Issuance within 15 working days – 17.15 Eur

  • Issuance within 1 working day – 51.45 Eur

  • Issuance within 3 working days – 34.30 Eur

  • Delivery by courier – 6.99 Eur

  • Delivery to a parcel terminal – 4.90 Eur

Frequently asked questions

Here you will find answers to common questions. If you did not find your question, click Contact us and we will gladly help.

You must provide: ID document; valid medical certificate; first aid training certificate; if applicable, a valid driver’s license (if not listed in the register).

Vehicle rental prices for the driving exam vary between driving schools, but the average is €40–60.

The retake fee at Regitra is the same as for the first attempt.

If you mean the driving school’s internal exam retake, that information should be stated in your contract.

If it is your first failed attempt, the system will initially only show available times after one month.

After seven days, the “block” is lifted and you will see all times, but even then it’s unlikely to get the nearest slots as they are taken quickly.

That’s why we recommend using the EKET.LT driving exam acceleration app, which helps save time and allows you to retake the exam within 1–2 weeks after failure.

  • Identity document;

  • Driver’s medical certificate (must state that your health condition is suitable for driving the category of vehicle for which the exam is taken).

Reminder:

  • Medical institutions issue only electronic medical certificates, which Regitra receives automatically;

  • Only paper certificates issued before 11 November 2020 are accepted.

To drive AM category vehicles, you only need to pass the theory exam at Regitra (€10) and have certificates for first aid training (€25) and a medical check (€35).

Driving school courses are not required.
